DMG America’s new DentaMile Desk MC system is an all-in-one system comprising of a 3D printer, a washing unit, and a curing unit, creating a seamlessly integrated trio. Launched this week by the company, the system is described as a complete and validated solution tailored for dental practices and small dental laboratories venturing into the world of dental 3D printing.

The DentaMile Desk MC system features a compact size to help fit in the practice or the dental lab, yet it is designed to deliver impressive performance and high precision. It is seamlessly integrated with plug-and-play technology, letting dental professionals incorporate the technology into their workflows with easy coordination and the ability to use right away.

The system’s printer component, the DentaMile Desk MC-5 DLP printer, has a compact shape to fit anywhere, yet it offers a spacious 5”x3”x 3.5 build platform area for the simultaneous production of multiple devices. This user-friendly printer is compatible with all standard dental CAD programs (STL files).

The DentaMile Wash MC unit is a key piece of the all-in-one system, providing fast and fully automatic cleaning of the 3D-printed devices via highly efficient preset programs and its generously sized cleaning container, according to DMG America. Its magnetic mixer and removable basket ensure a thorough isopropyl alcohol cleaning of both devices.

Also boasting a design featuring compactness and user-friendliness, the DentaMile Cure MC unit completes this digital dentistry solution. The curing unit’s Omni360° technology—an advanced ultraviolet LED arrangement—is said to ensure uniform curing of 3D-printed devices. The dual-frequency technology, featuring 2 wavelengths, adequately cures a variety of resins.

The new DentaMile Desk MC system can be used with the company’s LuxaPrint suite of light-curing 3D printing resins and withDentaMile connect, DMG’s cloud-based design software with easy step-by-step guided workflows and an algorithm that automatically nests and slices print jobs. The DentaMile Desk MC system also comes with DentaMile CAM MC nesting and slicing software to prepare files for 3D printing.

LuxaPrint products are high-quality, light-cured resins for use with digital light processing printers that work at a wavelength of 385nm. Each material combines fast printing with optimal accuracy for all 3D printing needs, according to DMG America. DentaMile connect software is designed to simplify dental 3D printing so dental practices and laboratories can efficiently integrate a digital workflow into their daily work routines. The DMG DentaMile portfolio offers all the components needed for an efficient 3D digital workflow from a single source including a DMG 3Demax printer with supplementary post-processing units, DMG 3Dewash and 3Decure; and the LuxaPrint materials for dental 3D printing.

DMG manufactures and distributes a full range of market-leading dental materials and equipment. With US headquarters in Ridgefield Park, New Jersey, the dental company is known for its breakthrough dental technology—including flagship products like Luxatemp® and LuxaCore® Z Dual, Icon® resin infiltrant, LuxaCrown® long-term crown and bridge material, and new additions such as Ecosite Elements universal composite and the DentaMile® 3D printing solution, complete with software, hardware and resins.
