Desktop Health has introduced an upgraded version of its renowned Flexcera resin. The newly launched Flexcera Base Ultra+ boasts a 50% increase in strength compared to its predecessor, setting new standards in dental 3D printing technology, per a press release from Desktop Health.

Designed specifically for the fabrication of full and partial removable dentures, Flexcera Base Ultra+ goes above and beyond expectations with a 70% greater resistance to deformation compared to ISO standards. This enhanced flexural strength allows for the creation of thinner wall and socket designs, significantly improving resistance to deformation and ensuring long-term durability, precise fit, and enhanced patient comfort.

Lou Azzara, President of Desktop Health, highlighted the substantial growth in the adoption of these restorative solutions in the press release, stating, "We are witnessing exponential growth in the adoption of these restorative solutions." Azzara emphasized that when paired with Desktop Health's cutting-edge Einstein and Einstein Pro XL printing systems, which offer best-in-class speed and accuracy, Flexcera Base Ultra+ prints 26% faster than its predecessor.

In practical testing, the Einstein Pro XL demonstrated its efficiency by producing 21 Flexcera Base Ultra+ denture arches in just about 90 minutes, per the press release. The system not only expedites the production process but also significantly reduces post-processing time, streamlining the overall workflow for dental professionals.

Ric Fulop, Founder and CEO of Desktop Metal, highlighted the company's commitment to meeting customer needs. "New Flexcera Base Ultra+ demonstrates how we listen to customers and give them what they’re asking for, such as a firmer final product in an industry-favorite shade." Fulop acknowledged the increasing trend of dental professionals adopting digital workflows and emphasized that the Flexcera family addresses the growing needs in the marketplace.
