Dentsply Sirona has been recognized by LearnX Live! for its online e-learning courses based on Dentsply Sirona World 2020 presentations.
Dentsply Sirona has been awarded the second place Diamond award for “Best E-Learning Design” in the “Shift it Online” category of the LearnX Live! Awards 2021. The courses recognized for unique design were Orthodontics 101, 20/20 Vision on Oral Inflammation, It Takes a Team: CAD/CAM Efficiency, and Maximizing the ROI of your CAD/CAM System with Implants. These courses were all based on keynote presentations given at the virtual Dentsply Sirona World 2020 conference and were developed and storyboard with help from key opinion leaders.
The courses are designed to be interactive for hands-on experiences so that users can provide expertise to the activities and case studies in the learning module. This also allows for a longevity beyond the initial presentation, according to Maximizing the ROI of your CAD/CAM System through Implants presenter Dr Kristine Aadland.
“It was a fantastic experience working with Dentsply Sirona to bring these courses to life in such an exciting way,” Dr Aadland said in a press release from Dentsply Sirona. “They turned out great and it’s nice to see my presentation given an extended lifespan beyond Dentsply Sirona World as a unique learning tool.”
These courses now rank as the most popular on Dentsply Sirona Academy, Dentsply Sirona’s online learning apparatus. Dentsply Sirona Academy contains almost 7,300 courses across 80 countries, with most of them online. Currently, Dentsply Sirona is working on introducing new courses for the next year made in collaboration with key opinion leaders, according to Prof. Dr Rainer Seemann, Vice President Global Clinical Research and Scientific Support at Dentsply Sirona.
“The past 2 years have shown that virtual training formats are increasingly demanded by our customers. We really needed to think outside the box last year to continue to offer world-class continuing education in a virtual format,” Dr Seemann said in the press release. “We are incredibly pleased with how the e-learning pilot project turned out, and that its success has been recognized by the wider industry as well. We now have a unique and award-winning blueprint for e-learning courses in the future.”
