The Denobi Awards and the Speaking Consulting Network (SCN) have come together to introduce the inaugural SCN Rising Star Award. This brand new partnership aims to celebrate the emergence of fresh talent within the dental field, as announced in a press release from the groups. Sonya Dunbar, co-founder of The Denobi Awards.

According to cofounder of the Denobi Awards Sonya Dunbar, the SCN Rising Star Award will serve as a platform to recognize and honor the rising stars of the dental industry who have just embarked on their careers but are already making significant waves. She expressed her enthusiasm for this collaboration in the press release by saying, "We are honored to partner with the Speaking Consulting Network to introduce the SCN Rising Star Award. The SCN Rising Star Award will be awarded to its deserving recipient at the 4th annual Denobi Awards Gala. This gala, which will be open to the public, is scheduled to take place on March 2, 2024, in the city of Dallas, Texas. In the past, 2023’s Denobi Award winners were honored for being “unsung dental heroes,” wherein 14 individuals and 2 dental teams won. Winners included a few Modern Hygienist editorial board members and regular contributors, Katrina Sanders, RDH, BSDH, MEd, and Kelly Tanner, PhD, RDH-CEO.
