CDT 2023 and Coding Companion Now Available for Pre-Order

The American Dental Association (ADA) has announced that its CDT 2023 and Coding Companion Kit are available now for pre-order on the ADA's website. CDT 2023 will have all of the most updated codes and descriptors while the Coding Companion Kit will compile and address the most commonly-asked questions. It will also answer specific scenario-related questions in relation to dental coding.

Included with the purchase of the kit is the CDT 2023 App and e-book, which will offer dental professionals additional, digital resources that can be accessed via their desktop, smartphone, or tablet.

The CDT 2023 content has some new inclusions such as:

  • 6 guided tissue regeneration procedure codes
  • A new code for the documentation on the removal of the nonresorbable membrane
  • 3 codes for reporting HPV vaccinations
  • 6 diagnostic imaging codes for tomosynthesis
  • 4 new codes for the documentation of 3D dental and facial surface scanning procedures
  • Various revisions for clarity.

All new CDT Code changes become effective on the first of the year.
