Carestream Dental announces Virtual Trade Show

With the Hinman Dental Society’s trade show in Atlanta due to the Coronavirus, Carestream Dental has come up with a unique digital opportunity. 

In lieu of a physical booth at the show, Carestream will take its booth online and use its social media channels and new eCommerce website to offer product demonstrations and trade show deals.

“We look forward to Hinman every year, especially since it’s in our own backyard,” Jeremy Thomas, general manager, the Americas, Carestream Dental, said. “It’s our chance to see familiar faces from across the Southeast, but as a healthcare company, we understand the need to be cautious in today’s environment. So, we got creative and are taking the trade show online.”

On what would have been the second day of the Hinman show, March 20, Carestream will host a virtual trade show using Facebook Live. The company will invite doctors and experts to its state-of-the-art operatory in its new headquarters for live demonstrations and question and answer sessions. 

Promotions that would have only been open to trade show attendees will now be open across the country. These promotional offers will be available from March 16-23 and will include scanners, bundles for implant workflows, and buy-one-get-one at no cost offers. Oral healthcare professionals will also have access to CBCT deals and zero percent financing when working directly with sales representatives. 

While the Coronavirus prompted the need for a digital platform, Carestream was already exploring ways for oral healthcare professionals to experience its technology virtually, the company said in a statement. The company recently experimented with holograms of its technology at trade shows to reduce its footprint and cut back on waste.
