After the merger is completed, Hu-Friedy's leadership team will helm the dental division with product portfolios from both Hu-Friedy and Crosstex.
Cantel Medical Corp. will purchase dental instrument and infection control manufacturer Hu-Friedy with plans to combine the new acquisition with its dental division Crosstex.
The purchase of the 111-year-old Hu-Friedy is expected to greatly enhance Cantel's ability to engage with dental customers while improving its dental supply chain to better support distribution partners, according to a press release. Cantel CEO George Fotiades said Hu-Friedy and Crosstex offer complimentary product portfolios to address the entire infection prevention and compliance needs of dental practices.
Following the completion of the acquisition, Hu-Friedy's leadership team will take charge of the combined division. The purchase is currently undergoing the regulatory approval process and is expected to close this fall.
