Brasseler USA expands the ImplantPro family with new titanium scalers and curettes

Article

ImplantPro® Titanium Scalers and Curettes are designed to provide an ideal balance of safety and efficiency.

Brasseler USA® is pleased to announce an expansion of its popular ImplantPro® family of products with new ImplantPro® Titanium Scalers and Curettes.

The thin, durable tips and ergonomic design of ImplantPro Titanium Scalers and Curettes safely yet effectively remove calculus and biofilm around implants, both supra- and sub-gingivally as well as interproximally, ensuring gentle debridement.

ImplantPro Titanium Scalers and Curettes and are made from 6Al-4V titanium, comparable to most implant abutments, and are never heat-treated. This allows ImplantPro Scalers and Curettes to maintain the low Rockwell C hardness of 25-31 HRC. Moreover, ImplantPro Scalers and Curettes feature Brasseler USA’s unique blade finishing with long-lasting, polished edges which are less aggressive than traditional scalers and curettes to further ensure the safest instrumentation possible around implants. Because of this special finishing, hand sharpening is not recommended.

“Brasseler designed the new ImplantPro Titanium Scalers and Curettes specifically to answer dental hygienists’ requests for thinner implant maintenance instruments,” remarked Brenda Sharp McCarson, RDH, BS, Brasseler USA’s National Manager of Hygiene. “They are strong enough to dislodge calculus and even residual cement, yet are flexible and soft.”

The ImplantPro Titanium 204S Scaler features thinner, shorter blades with less curvature than a traditional 204S, while the four ImplantPro Titanium Curettes feature elongated terminal shanks and thin, short blades to reduce tissue distension and ease subgingival insertion.
