DentiMax digital sensors are said to represent the latest technology in digital radiography. These sensors reportedly excel in every area, including image quality, patient comfort and hardware/software compatibility.

High image quality

DentiMax Dream Sensors are said to provide crystal-clear images. They boast the latest in CMOS technology and  an active pixel chip, including an industry-leading highly sensitive scintillator and fiber optic plate housed in a module that includes a built-in circuit board on the chip. The image quality is designed to be better than film because it allows the practitioner to zoom, spotlight and enhance areas of suspected caries or other concern.

Strength and durability

The DentiMax Dream Sensor’s state-of-the-art technology is said to be encased in a sealed, water-tight housing connected directly to a Kevlar-reinforced cable, reportedly providing one of the strongest sensor cord/cable combinations in the industry. A protective plate added to the face of the sensor is said to act as a cushion or shock absorber for the sensor wafer, which helps if the device is struck against a hard surface or bitten by a patient.

State-of-the-art software

Updated image filters and processing algorithms reportedly improve overall image quality. New calibration files are said to completely eliminate “fixed pattern noise” in the resulting much cleaner X-ray sensor  In addition, diagnostic tools are designed to help with the clinical evaluation of the X-rays and help patient education.

Sensor sensitivity

DentiMax Dream Sensors are said to work with a wide range of X-ray heads and still produce consistent, high-quality images across the board. The company reportedly specializes in “dialing in” images specifically for the equipment in any practice so they don’t need to purchase additional equipment.
