Osteoid spins out of Anatomage as a dental subsidiary focused on providing digital dental solutions for professionals.
The medical visualization technology company Anatomage has announced that it has spun out its 3D dental business as a subsidiary called Osteoid.
Osteoid will allow both companies to increase focus on innovation in its respective fields. Osteoid will be solely focused on 3D dental technology and solutions. These solutions include the Invivo 3D dental imaging program as well as its cloud-based platform, and platform for surgical guide fabrication.
3D image design veteran Calvin Hur will fill the role as Osteoid’s CEO while Anatomage CEO and founder Jack Choi will serve as an advisor.
“Osteoid is on a mission to deliver the future of modern dentistry, and I’m honored to lead such a customer-driven team,” Hur said in a press release. “We are more focused and committed than ever to helping accelerate the move to digital dentistry.”
As the dental imaging market expands, Osteoid was formed to take advantage of this growing demand, according to a press release from the company. As digital dentistry expands and becomes more accessible for dental professionals, Osteoid is prepared to meet the needs through this separate, dental-focused subsidiary.
