Why: Said to be dentistry’s first voice-controlled electric motor, Perceptive lets users adjust motor settings with a simple verbal command for ease of use. Users can also use the large tablet computer screen to select new settings.

*The How: Users can select speed presets, forward/reverse, and lighting settings. The system’s large, brightly lit tablet touchscreen clearly displays current motor settings, and it mounts in any convenient location. The tablet beeps to confirm verbal commands were received and executed. The Perceptive system features 3 speed presets to ensure the safety of the patient and staff. Users can adjust the RPMs to any speed using the slide bar, voice control, or the touchscreen toggle through the 3 presets for a customized experience. It also features a quiet, 40,000 rpm brushless motor with long-life LED lighting. The hose is also designed to be ultralight to minimize hand fatigue.
