So you want to use social media marketing to capture new patients, but aren't sure how to do it. Our guide isolates five methods to achieve this goal.

In our newest checklist, we put together five exclusive social media marketing strategies that are sure to capture more local business for your dental practice.

Here's how to turn your prospects into patients:

1. YouTube. According to Google, “how to”-related searches are up 70 percent on YouTube. This gives dental practices a chance to woo potential patients with dental tip videos and more. Create a YouTube channel and highlight what your practice has to offer, make regular how-to videos to educate your patients and give them reasons to come to your dental practice. Educating your prospects will lead to new patients and new cases. (Google Data, Q1 2014–Q1 2015, U.S.)

2. Facebook. Although Facebook has limited its “organic reach” of Facebook posts (how often your audience can see your page), it has tremendous value when it comes to paid ads to reach your local audience. Facebook allows you to narrow down to your target market and local community so you can reach all of your potential patients nearby. Run an ad with a catchy, clear and simple image to drive traffic to your dental practice. Include some kind of new patient offer or a free cleaning.
