In a move to create a more comprehensive guided surgery workflow, digital dental company 3Sixty and artificial intelligence (AI) company Atomica.ai have partnered up. Through this collaboration, 3Sixty and Atomica want to create an AI-powered guided surgery software suite to make guided surgery more streamlined, according to a press release from the companies.

The collaboration between 3Sixty and Atomica aims to represent the future of digital dentistry, combining their expertise to craft a next-generation guided surgery solution. Atomica's AI-driven guided surgery software harnesses the latest advancements in AI to empower dental practitioners with the ability to craft precise, effective treatment plans in minutes, per the press release. By incorporating 3D visualization features, dental professionals can now simulate implant placement procedures before the actual surgery, followed by the generation of a surgical guide. This will optimize workflows and save valuable time, according to 3Sixty CEO Ayman Abouhend.

“We are excited to collaborate wth Atomica to launch this innovative dental software,” Abouhend says in the press release. “Our goal is to provide dentists with the most advanced digital workflows. This software will streamline implant planning, guide design, and generation, and allow dentists to focus on what they do best–providing exceptional dental care.”

This AI-powered software is said to tout 3 big benefits. It enables increased accuracy, with algorithms that optimize surgical guides by reducing risk of errors. It is said to boost efficiency through its data acquisition to surgical guide fabrication workflow. Finally, it’s third big benefit is its proposed enhanced patient outcomes. Patients can benefit through the minimization of surgical complications as well as saving precious treatment time.

Yahia Megahed, CEO of Atomica, expressed excitement in the press release "We are thrilled to partner with 3Sixty, the industry leader in guided surgery, to power their production of thousands of surgical guides per month. Our software is designed to streamline production workflow and address the industry's need for innovative surgical solutions. We believe this collaboration will benefit both dentists and patients, and we look forward to witnessing the transformative impact of this software in the industry."

This collaborative effort between 3Sixty and Atomica represents a significant leap forward in dental guided surgery, promising enhanced precision, efficiency, and patient satisfaction. As this innovative AI-powered software becomes integrated into dental practices, it aims to reshape the landscape of guided surgery, setting new standards of excellence within the dental industry.

AI is revolutionizing the dental field, ushering in a new era of precision, efficiency, and patient care. From treatment planning to diagnostics and workflow optimization, AI-powered tools are making their mark on every aspect of dentistry. These intelligent systems assist dental professionals in creating more accurate treatment plans, streamlining administrative tasks, enhancing diagnostics, and even improving patient outcomes. With AI as an added tool in the armamentarium, dentists can provide superior care and elevate the overall dental experience for patients. The dental industry is embracing the power of AI, shaping a brighter and more innovative future for dental health.
