3Shape Releases Automate Design Platform for Labs

Article

Automate is said to be the first AI-powered dental design service platform for dental labs.

3Shape has announced the launch of Automate, the company’s artificial intelligence AI)-powered dental design service platform for dental laboratories. The new platform, which is hosted on the 3Shape website, allows dental lab technicians to set up an unlimited number of design orders with customizable instructions and upload scans to the design service.

Automate’s AI technology is said to return design proposals in as little as 5 minutes, regardless of the number of designs ordered. Plus, you only pay for what you approve and download.

“More and more dental workflows are going digital. Because of this, we felt that labs could really benet from an easy-to-use self-service design service to supplement their caseloads. A service that could support them with, for example, a posterior CAD crown design, when they’re in a jam and don’t want to work overtime or search for an extra designer,” says Rune Fisker, 3Shape senior vice president for product strategy.

Automate is an open platform, allowing technicians using 3Shape Dental System, exocad, or other select scanners to send their files to the platform. Labs can try Automate for free with a $50 credit to see how it works. Visit 3shape.com.automate for more information.
