01 As a serially successful entrepreneur, what advice on building prosperous businesses would you offer readers? You have to do what everyone is telling you is impossible. To do that, you have to look into the future and see the invisible. Once you have seen the invisible, you have to have unshakable belief in your own ability and that of your team to make the impossible possible.

02 D4D Technologies is very progressive in terms of meeting the needs of customers and offering new solutions. What do you attribute that to?

I know dentistry has been underserved in commitment and service to customers. We never underestimate the customer and always listen and respond.

03 What advantages does having the entire D4D Technologies company in one location (Dallas, Texas) provide you, your team and your customers?

Technology moves so fast and customer needs evolve so quickly that having all our teams together in one location-optical, mechanical, electrical, software, firmware, manufacturing, and industrial design engineers as well as customer support and training-enables us to respond to customers’ needs immediately.

04 What are some of the new product and software features we can look forward to from D4D Technologies this year?

We’ll continue to add new capabilities to our product all the time and provide free software updates to customers. We’ll also be connecting our system to all dental professionals (dentists and labs) via the E4D Sky™ Network.

05 We’ve been hearing a lot about the E4D Sky™ Network. What do readers need to know about this new platform?

With E4D Sky we will lead the digital revolution in dentistry. While others are trying to find their “lane” on the digital highway, our digital Skyway™ will provide a comprehensive networking and Internet solutions for all dental professionals.

06 In this issue, we begin a 3-part series on cone beam. How does this technology fit in with the work D4D is doing?

We are well on the way to digitizing the total oral environment and creating a virtual patient for both diagnosis and treatment-the key to proper planning, acceptance and implementation. Combining our expertise with that of cone beam and even optical coherence tomography will expand the potential of dental care beyond anyone’s imagination.

07 You’ve introduced an annual event called CADapalooza, which brings all dental professionals together for an interactive technology-focused experience. What’s in store this year?

Make sure you check out CADapalooza.com for all the details, but I guarantee it is the biggest show in dentistry and something that everyone should attend as it showcases the best in science, technology and art in our profession.

08 Why do you think it’s so important for customers or potential customers to get the “E4D Experience™”?

While CAD/CAM isn’t for everyone, you should see what D4D Technologies offers before deciding. You owe it to yourself, your practice and your patients to evaluate the ultimate in patient care and dentistry. We guarantee an experience like no other.

09 In this economy, CAD/CAM can seem like a daunting investment. How do you address this?

Dentistry is a great profession, but it is a great business, too. To maximize productivity and provide equal or better quality of care, technology has to be embraced, not feared. It is not a matter of if digital dentistry becomes mainstream, but when.

10 As your products and technologies continue to evolve, how are you telling the world about E4D?

We’re everywhere-thanks to interviews and publications like this, social communication venues, podcasts, and our partners: Henry Schein Dental, Ivoclar Vivadent, 3M ESPE and Premier Dental. For more, check out e4d.com.
