Color at the change of a tip

Planmeca's innovative color tip technology and activation kit are said to allow the dentist to upgrade and activate their existing PlanScan scanners to color. The new autoclave color tips are available in the standard size and  interchangeable with all PlanScan digital scanners.

"There is nothing like it on the market today. With a simple 5.7 software update, available as an affordable upgrade, the revolutionary tip design allows me to easily integrate the new color scanning option without the need to purchase a new scanner. Economically it makes sense," said Dr. Michael Moroni, based in Castle Rock, Colo. "Clinically, full color enhances the detail and margin definition, assisting the clinician to distinguish between tissues and restorative materials to better facilitate patient treatment planning."

"We are proud to offer an affordable and innovative upgrade to PlanScan that will add value to the clinician's practice and improve patient treatment planning," said Jukka Kanerva, president of the Planmeca CAD/CAM group. "This upgrade demonstrates Planmeca's commitment to continually improving our product to provide new capabilities."
