 Komet USA's line of highly efficient crown cutters includes a range of specialty instruments engineered to cut through any crown material quickly and easily. 

Featuring specialized burs for use with all types of restorative materials-from zirconium dioxide and PFM to non-precious metals and gold-the instruments are designed to provide the operator with exceptional control throughout the cutting process. The durable, time-saving cutters minimize heat generation during operation due to effective chip spaces, and tip-transversing blades on the tungsten-carbide burs facilitate penetration of the crown material.

The H4MC cutter features Komet’s renowned D-toothing design, which allows rapid, efficient cutting of conventional-metal crowns and bridges. Suitable for ceramics with a low melting point as well as hard-to-cut alloys, the cutter features a pyramid-shaped blade design to prevent breakage, guarantee stability, and ensure smooth, vibration-free operation. Offering a consistently high material-reduction rate, the cutter can be used in a micromotor as well as a turbine handpiece.

The 4ZR™ diamond crown cutter is precision engineered to cut through the copings of high-strength ceramic crowns, including full-ceramic, zirconia, and lithium-disilicate restorations, reducing chair time to approximately one-third of that required when using standard diamond burs. This cutting efficiency results in minimal heat generation, protecting patients, assuring patient comfort, maximizing preservation of tooth structure, reducing chair time, and optimizing instrument longevity. The diamond particles are embedded in a special bonding process, leading to improved substance removal and an extended service life.

The Komet® H35L crown cutter features a special blade symmetry that cuts through non-precious alloys and gold with minimal effort. Its tip-transversing blade facilitates penetration into the metal crown, and the instrument’s slim neck permits use along the entire length of the working portion. 

Like the H35L, the H40 also is suitable for use on non-precious metal and gold crowns. With a defined solder joint, the instrument is appropriately flexible and resistant to breakage.
