Finally, Dr. James believes he has found the system he was searching for in DEXIS Platinum.

Here’s a portion of our interview…

DPR: What made you switch sensor systems?

Dr. James: I was looking for the best diagnostic system I could find. I was frustrated with all of the promises I had heard about digital radiography but we weren’t seeing the results. I was seeing these tremendous images from the sales reps but then we weren’t seeing the same quality of images when we installed the system they recommended.

DPR: Talk about some of the frustrations you encountered.

Dr. James: We tried one system and then upgraded to its elite system. The upgrade didn’t do what we had hoped and we knew it was time to switch. We switched to another system and quickly learned that it was even less comfortable for our patients than our previous system. Sadly, the diagnostics weren’t significantly approved either. I was extremely frustrated when I would get images from referring dentists and their images were better than mine. That was not good at all. Additionally, our new sensors weren’t integrating into Eaglesoft and we were really disappointed.
