In this live video interview from CDA 2012, DPR Executive Editor Stan Goff talks with Casey Hayes, VP of Sales for Hayes Handpiece Company, about the company's dental products and services.

"We've been repairing handpieces since 1989," said Hayes. "My uncle founded the company in San Diego, California and our main business is handpiece repair. We've had a lot of opportunity in this economy with our product lines so we have been able to add some products and partner with some really nice manufacturers."

According to Hayes, the company makes the buying and ordering process for dentists extremely easy.

"All they have to do is call and our local reps come and pick up the handpiece," said Hayes.

Hayes Handpiece also sells new and used handpieces. The company has partnered with J. Morita, Bien Air, and American Eagle instrument lines.

"We've had to shake the reputation of being just a repair company," said Hayes.

The bi-annual CDA convention drew more than 27,000 dentists, dental professionals and students from across the U.S. The three-day convention featured educational courses and 135,000 square feet of exhibit space where 568 exhibitors demonstrated new techniques as well as innovative products and services for dentists.
