Forward Trends: Veneers

Veneer Venue

These ten pressable ceramic systems are designed not only for veneers, but for a wide range of indications for highly esthetic combination cases.

Glidewell Direct | Prismatik ThinPress

Prismatik ThinPress leucite-reinforced pressed ceramics feature a flexural strength of 167 MPa. Blended with body and color modifiers, the ceramic ingots are offered in 10 thick and thin shades. The thin shades are used for no-prep or minimal-prep cases, while the thick shades are suitable for standard veneers and full crown preparations. Seven shades of correction powders also are available. Starter and trial kits containing ingots; correction, layering, stain, and glaze powders; universal stain and glaze liquid; and build-up liquid are available.

Jensen Dental | Authentic
Authentic low-fusing, leucite-reinforced pressable ceramic allows both a staining technique as well as a layering technique or the combination of the two. The Authentic pressable ceramic ingots can be pressed with all pressing furnaces on the market, including Jensen’s Vario Press 300 by Zubler. It exhibits a natural color appearance to optimally match the oral environment. Full crowns, inlays, and onlays as well as veneers can be created with exceptional color stability even using multiple firings. A two-phase glass ceramic, Authentic makes it possible to reproduce esthetics using the simplest layering or staining techniques. Because of the leucite crystals, a homogenous structure is achieved that comes very close to the natural enamel in surface hardness and plaque affinity.
